Autumn is the season of renewal — the perfect time to refresh your beauty and makeup routine in line with the latest trends. Below, Szabina Tomán, founder and owner of Toman Lifestyle, shares her five favorite trends for the season!
Skinimalism – Simplicity with Multi-Functionality
Skincare routines are becoming increasingly minimal, with a focus on multi-purpose products that hydrate, protect, and treat all at once. I find this trend incredibly appealing, especially from a sustainability standpoint. Fewer products mean less packaging and less waste. Whenever I purchase something new, I look for items that serve multiple purposes — I don’t want them to be just decorative pieces on my bathroom shelf.
Waterless Formulas – Less Water, More Active Ingredients
This year, concentrated actives and solid formulations are taking center stage, replacing water-based products. Not only are they often more effective, but they also reduce water consumption and packaging waste. For me, mindful beauty means paying attention to these aspects — and I’m glad to see more and more innovations like this entering the market.
Adaptogens & Stress Reduction – Harmony Inside and Out
Ashwagandha, ginseng, reishi… these ingredients help the skin resist stress and minimize irritation. I’ve always believed in a holistic approach: our skin’s condition is closely linked to our inner balance. It’s wonderful to see the beauty industry moving more toward this integrated mindset.
Satin Sheen – The Elegance of a Soft Glow
A satin finish strikes the perfect balance between matte and dewy — a natural, healthy radiance reminiscent of candlelit skin. I believe a flawless base is one of the most important elements of any makeup look, and this subtle, sophisticated glow works beautifully for any occasion.
Spiced Tones – The “Cinnamon Girl” Mood
Terracotta, cinnamon, paprika, turmeric — these trending shades bring warmth and character to any look. They’re especially cozy for autumn, but I always say: only adopt trends that make you feel good. For instance, cinnamon tones never suited me, so even though they’re in style, I skip them. Authenticity matters far more than following fashion.
